Beyond Altınkum, Didim has seven coves and beaches worth a swim, each with its own character. Some are calm and family-friendly, some are wide and award-winning, and others stand out for their sunset views — here's a guide to help you decide which suits you.
Cennet Koyu
About 4 km from central Didim, Cennet Koyu has shallow, gentle water that makes it a particularly good option for families with children. Its clear, clean water stays swimmable even on windy days, and the cove is also a popular stop for boat tours. Entry is completely free.
Akbük Beach
About 23 km from central Didim, Akbük is Didim's third Blue Flag beach after Altınkum and Tavşan Burnu. Part of a protected area, it's 3 km long and 20 metres wide. Visitors favour it for its fine sand and natural scenery; entry is free.
Manastır Cove
West of Altınkum Beach, about 8 km from the centre, Manastır Cove takes its name from the monastery on its shore. It's a spot where visitors can swim and take in a bit of cultural history at once, and its distance from the centre makes it a favourite for those with their own car. It stands out for clear water and especially for sunrise and sunset views. Entry is free.
Tavşan Burnu Nature Park Beach
This beach sits inside Tavşan Burnu Nature Park, about 7 km from central Didim. The park is a protected nature area that won the Blue Flag in 2015. The beach is 300 metres long and 15 metres wide, with a shop for everyday needs nearby. Camping with your own tent or a rented one is also possible inside the nature park. Because it sits within the park, entry is paid.
Huzur Beach
About 4 km from central Didim, Huzur Beach sits right next to the Huzur housing site. Its clear water, which doesn't drop off quickly, makes it especially good for new swimmers. There's a shop and a café for everyday needs. Entry is free; renting a sunbed costs extra.
Sarıkum Beach
About 7 km from central Didim, Sarıkum Beach takes its name from its distinctive golden sand. The surrounding hills make it possible to dive into the sea nearby. There are no cafés or shops around the beach, so it's worth bringing what you need. Camping is also possible at Sarıkum. Entry is free; sunbeds cost extra.
Dalyanaki Cove
Reached via the Didim–Akbük road, Dalyanaki Cove is about 8 km from the centre, right next to holiday sites such as the well-known Köy Hizmetleri site. Its calm, wave-free water makes it a favourite; because the water is shallow, boats also shelter here on windy days. There are no facilities around the cove, so bring what you need. Entry is free.
